Meem's Bottom Covered Bridge, Mount Jackson, VA. Originally built in 1892 by Franklin Hiser Wissler. This bridge is longest covered bridge in VA that still supports traffic. Mr. Wisler built this bridge in order to access his apple orchard.

Meem's Bottom Covered Bridge was vandalized in 1976 and burned on Halloween. Thankfully, many of the original timber beams were saved and able to be used again during the reconstruction. This was completed in 1979.
